Dr. Jose Ramos-Horta, the 1996 Nobel Peace Prize Winner, has
officially accepted WFTA's invitation to speak in the annual
convention of WFTA, August 23 in I-Lan, Taiwan.

This Nobel Peace Prize winner believes that Taiwan should be
allowed to join UN, as mentioned in his acceptance speech of
the Nobel Prize in Norway in Dec '96.

On Feb. 26 this year, WFTA President James Lee and CTIR Director
David Tsai met Dr. Horta in Washington DC and invited him to be
the keynote speaker in the coming WFTA's convention. Dr. Horta
gladly accepted the invitation on the spot and now further
confirms his acceptance with an official reply on April 9th.
He indicates that he'd be delighted to attend WFTA's convention
on Aug. 22 and will give a speech on Aug. 23.
