Subject: Postcards available concerning Gendhun Choekyi Nyima
Dear Tibet Supporters,
On April 25th, His Holiness The Panchen Lama, Gendhun Choekyi Nyima,
will be 8 years old. On May 17th, 1997, it will be two years since
His Holiness The Panchen Lama, His family, and the Monks involved in
His discovery disappeared. The International Tibet Independence
Movement (ITIM) has designed a postcard about Gendhun Choekyi Nyima
to be sent to U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. This mutli-
color, two-part postcard with a picture of The Panchen Lama states
the following:
Dear Ms. Albright,
Thank you for supporting human rights.
On April 25, 1997, Gendhun Choekyi Nyima, the 11th Panchen Lama of
Tibet and the World's Youngest Political Prisoner turned 8 years old.
As His whereabouts are still unknown, we need your help. China's
government must know that we are concerned with the welfare of this
important Lama and the welfare of all Tibetans in Tibet.
Please ask The PRC where is Gendhun Choekyi Nyima and when He will be
free to communicate with Tibetans and the rest of the world? Ask The
PRC if the young Rinpoche is in good health and if He has been provided
with fair legal assistance regarding His imprisonment?
People around the world are anxiously waiting for definitive answers to
these questions. Please help.
Respectfully,
