Setting up Committee to bring legal action against UN

Before Taiwan can be treated fairly as a state (and a democratic one), UN's illegal claim that Taiwan
is a provinceof China needs to be challenged.

Should we ask as many Taiwanese organizations inside and outside Taiwan as possible to put together
a committee to study the feasibility of bringing a legal action against UN in an international
court of law?

The plaintiff ironically could not be the ROC regime on Taiwan since it still consider Taiwan is just
a "geographic term."

So the burden falls on the Taiwanese people. The legal ground includes the San Francisco Peace Treaty
in 1951, UN Charter -especially the part that mentions the right of self-determination, UN Resolution
2758-which did not say that Taiwan was part of China, Cairo and Potsdam Declarations' legality, etc.

I also suggest that Professor Chen, Lon-Zi who made an excellent speech in FAPA's last year's annual
meeting in DC be one of the legal consultants. Dr. Shen, Jan-Der could provide a lot of legal documents.

To stop UN's illegal claim that Taiwan is part of China and its irrational denial of Taiwanese
self-determination rights,we have to challenge UN's stance. With Bush in power here in the USA
and A-bien in charge in Taiwan, both will not help the situation but at least will not be the
fierce opponents to this issue, it is the best time to take the action. To win the legal battle first
is a key to force the UN to recognize the statehood of Taiwan.
