Message for the English Forum

I agree with Wantzu Liu that having the words issued in Taiwan on the Passport is very disapointing 
and actually very confusing. But I don t think that the true problem lies within the government. 
Actually the problem lies within the Taiwanese themselves. I am indeed sure that if a majority of
Taiwanese wanted clearly all official documents to be stamped with Taiwan and not ROC, the government 
would be more than happy to do so. But currently despite finally being able to speak their mind freely, 
a huge proportion of Taiwanese still vote for parties such as the PFP and KMT which are clearly against 
independence and defend the ROC (even when Mr Bush himself used the words Republic of Taiwan to refer 
to our country)... 

So as defenders of our country we should educate and convince all our compatriots to stand up for their
homeland, understand their own culture and identity and not accept ever to be assimilated to China and
Chinese. Education is the key. As our history books are not yet changed  we need to educate our children
and stop the irrationality of thinking that Taiwan is the ROC or that the capital is Nankin... 

Long live the Republic of Taiwan!
