   I am new to this forum and web site. The history of the Minnan and Hakka people clearly pointed to 
the fact that they are related to the Yueh people (including the Vietnamese like myself). Recent genetics 
finding by Chinese scientists (like J Chu, Li Jin..) of the Chinese Medical Academy of Sciences (People's 
Republic) shows that southern Chinese are different from Northern Han Chinese and that the origins of the 
East Asian people came from the ancestors in the south.

   The Minnan and Hakka people has every reason to be proud of their cultural roots and origins. If they 
aspire for a nationhood and want a separate identity with their own culture and be happy with it, then let 
them decide for themselves. Be enlightened, Dshan, denying and forcing a people against their own will is 
unethical and ultimately even harmful to your own soul.
