How to defend Taiwan from China

I have some 2 pennies about defending Taiwan over Chinese aggression.  
Maybe you may distribute to related people.

China is too big a country to fight against directly.  Even US is reluctant
to have conflicts with China.  The massier a hegemon is, the harder it is to
crash it from outside.  But it's also more vulnerable to an internal
implosion.  And the massier the monster is, the more damage it suffers from
implosion.  Therefore the theme is to create civil wars for China.  I've
been thinking on this direction for a while.  And I'll give my other 2
pennies on the topic in the future.

Here is one idea, instead of developing weapons to kill soldiers, Taiwan
should develop bio weapons to kill crops and herds (thus the food supplies).
There are many advantages.  First Taiwan has very advanced knowledge in
agricultural diseases.  Second, developing such weapons is less sensitive
and won't be monitored as hard.  Third, when 1 billion people have food
shortages, it's very hard to get rid of the problem.  And in Chinese
history, civil wars almost always come with famines.  The uneven
distribution of wealth in China makes it difficult for the government to
handle such a problem.  There are 100 millions "Mang-Liu" (unemployed,
homeless people roaming in big cities).  And most people have difficulty to
make the ends meet.  When food is unavailable, riots are sure things to
happen.

And when things are out of control, Taiwan is much more robust to food
shortages.  Most people can afford to buy imported foods.  It will be nice
if Taiwan also get the antidotes ready when applying such weapons.  The
diseases probably won't spread to the west and the north (for geographical
and climatic reasons).  But Korea, Japan, Vietnam and Taiwan may be
affected.  North Korea and Vietnam may not take the situation well.
Probably we may try to develop some virus that only thrives in the right
climates (latitudes).

Crops/herds killers (preferably virus, so the diseases can spread to whole
China from just few points) can be delivered using low tech veicles like
balloons (used to deliver propaganda stuff in the old time).  Or even from
3rd country visitors to China (since such virus is only harmful to crops and
herds, human carrier is safe).  With current technology, virus can be mass
produced and (relatively) safely transported.

The good thing is such weapons can be developed and never used.  As long as
China doesn't figure out how to counter this threat, the war probably won't
happen.  For this aspect it is like the nuke stuff.  But unlike nuke, Taiwan
is better equipped to handle such weapons than China.  It is unbalanced
weaponary works better for Taiwan than China.
