Why is it?
Why is it that the International news on CNN is so deragatory towards Americans?
I ask this question after listening to some reporter wiith a British accent; patting co-workers on the back for saving the life of a six year old child; which would be fine had they not portrayed the "Americans as jubilant". Was this to imply the Americans are happy or proud to be in a position to have harmed an innocent child? This is deeper than that: and I am certain most people who have any "critical listening skills" were able to see through this style of reprting. It would never occur to you that perhaps the dignity of the child involved; was violated as you filmed that very graphic scene.The manipulation in this report was very obvious but better said would be to call it "a disgrace to the news media".
This is not the time to create a wedge between Americans and the Brits. Least you forget; our leaders and our armies are in this together..This is one-sided; and it needs to STOP!
Do you honestly think that the American men; who have several injured themselves; are proud or happy to have hurt an innocent person?? Much less a child? The media should be part of the solution; to win hearts and minds..not perpetrators of mistrust...........
These soldiers are not to blame......it is the situation. Everyday they are there; they are putting their lives at risk. Many American and British, families hearts are torn ,broken and changed forever by the loss of their sons/daughters, due to this war.
I plead for the Iraqi people to stay away from the turbulent areas; until it is safer for them.
Our fervent prayer is for a safe and happy life for all Iraqis; and for the safe return of the coalition troups to their own contries. Please exercise caution for your own safety. Our Marines cannot easily separate friend from foe.
